Installation Notes
Dimplex calls for a 15 A, 120V circuit, preferably dedicated if the heater trips a shared breaker. The fireplace can be hardwired or plugged in with the plug kit; never use an extension cord or power strip.
Electric fireplaces need no chimney, vent or gas line, which makes them one of the few fireplace options most New York City co-op and condo boards approve. A hardwired installation is electrical work that must be performed by a licensed electrician in NYC.
