The EcoSmart Fire Base 30 is a square, low fire pit that doubles as a coffee table, the smaller version of the Base 40. Choose a Fluid Concrete surround in Natural, Graphite or Bone, or natural teak, then pick the fuel: an AB8 bioethanol burner that needs no gas line or venting, or a burner for propane or plumbed natural gas rated up to 65,000 BTU/h. The burner comes in brushed stainless steel or a black ceramic coating on most options. It suits a terrace or patio, and the ethanol version can also be configured for indoor use.

Installation Notes

Level the table with its feet, keep the burner base away from flammable materials, and keep the listed clearances, paying special attention to things that move in the wind. Use the burner lid when the fire is off, since stainless steel can corrode if debris is left in the burner. Gas models are for outdoor use only. In New York City, gas work must be done by a licensed master plumber under a DOB permit, and propane tank storage in the city carries FDNY rules, so confirm the fuel with us before you order. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the Base 30 indoors?

Only the ethanol version, and only with the additional indoor parts, the AB8 efficiency ring and a room of at least 4,096 cu ft. Gas versions are outdoor only.

How long does a tank of ethanol last?

About 7 to 9 hours on the 8 L tank, or 9 to 11 hours with the efficiency ring fitted.

Is it a usable table?

Yes. It is designed as a coffee table, and the optional glass cover plate closes over the burner.

Which surround finishes are offered?

Fluid Concrete in Natural, Graphite or Bone, or Natural Teak.

Warranty

Per the EcoSmart operations manual, the transferable limited warranty is two years from purchase on stainless steel parts, including black ceramic coated, and one year on mild steel, cement, glass, leather, fabric, teak and MDF. Chips, scratches and non-structural hairline cracks in Fluid Concrete are not covered. Where snow is likely to accumulate, the winter cover is required to keep coverage.
