Description

Empire EK1 Traditional Ember Bed Kit

Complete the look of a compatible Empire gas fireplace or gas log installation with decorative burnt-log pieces, white ash and lava rock. This kit dresses the firebox floor around the burner rather than supplying burner-top glowing ember material.

What comes in the EK1 kit?

  • Six burnt log pieces (log nuggets)
  • White ash / ash nuggets
  • Decorative lava rock

Installation and compatibility

Important: Do not place any EK1 materials on top of the burner. Position only as permitted by the current fireplace or log-set installation manual. This kit is an accessory: the gas burner, log set, gas controls, and installation are not included. The RMI 2026–2027 Hearth Catalog lists EK1 for Empire gas logs on pages 179, 217 and 222; the manufacturer part number is EK1.

For approved burner-top glowing ember material, consult the applicable instructions and the separately sold Empire PE20 platinum embers.
