Description

Empire St. Clair 4300 — What's Included and What Must Be Ordered

Factory model WB43FP is the EPA 2020-compliant St. Clair 4300 wood-burning fireplace with an included circulation blower, controlled-combustion firebox, airwash system and high-temperature ceramic viewing glass. The manufacturer rates the 4.28-cubic-foot firebox at 95,000 BTU/hour maximum output, heating approximately 1,000–2,800 square feet under rated conditions, with up to 25-inch wood logs.

Three components required to complete an installation

  • One door overlay: WD5BL (Black, $259) or WD5NB (Nickel, $569).
  • One WF5TBL traditional faceplate ($659).
  • One WR5C Classic Brick refractory liner ($769).

The factory fireplace-only WB43FP option is incomplete without all three. Choose the correctly priced bundled option to receive the fireplace plus one door, the faceplate and refractory; the complete black-door option contains WB43FP + WD5BL + WF5TBL + WR5C, and the nickel option substitutes WD5NB. Do not operate until installed with the approved required parts.

Installation & optional systems

Venting: compatible 8-inch wood-burning chimney system, sold separately. Framing guidance: 43-3/8 in H × 50-3/4 in W × 26-7/8 in D; check the manufacturer drawing for the additional total framing height note (84 inches) and required clearances. WB2FA forced-air distribution, WB2WG gravity air circulation grille, WA5FP 5-inch fresh-air kit and approved hearth/vent components are optional or installation-specific, not included in base price. All installation must follow the current Empire manual and local building/fire rules.
