- We allow returns on all new, unused, unassembled, and "resalable" items in their original packaging within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund (minus the original shipping costs, and the shipping costs you incur shipping the product back). Napoleon finishing trim frames the face of an Elevation X 36 or 42 direct vent gas fireplace for a clean, finished edge against the wall. Choose the standard 2 in four-sided finishing trim in Black, Charcoal, Copper or Gunmetal, or the Black bevelled trim for a deeper profile.

Installation Notes
Plan the trim before framing. Napoleon says the appliance must be raised flush with the hearth or the finished floor if any optional trim is installed, and to lift the appliance by the thickness of the floor material to keep the 1/4 in clearance under the finishing trim. Choose the non-combustible (NCEX36/42) or combustible (DHCEX) finishing kit early, as framing differs. Planning a fireplace project or need help matching parts? Book a design consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need trim?
No. It is optional, but if you plan to use it the fireplace height must be set for it during framing.
Standard or bevelled?
The standard trim is a flat 2 in four-sided frame in four finishes; the bevelled trim is Black with a bevelled front.
