What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Fire Magic 3598-D refrigerator with stainless door, in the hinge side you select
- Two glass shelves, flip shelf, crisper bin with glass cover, door shelf, pair of keys, leveling legs
- You will need: a 20 x 34 1/8 x 21 3/4 in opening with the clearances above, and a weather-proof in-use covered GFCI 115 V outlet (15 A minimum)
Installation Notes
Fire Magic says not to install this refrigerator in any location that is not properly insulated or heated, such as a garage, because it is not designed to operate below 55 F. In the NYC area that rules out year-round use in an open outdoor island; plan a covered, conditioned or seasonal location, and unplug and empty it for winter if it sits outside. Keep it out of direct sun and away from the grill or any heat source.
Order the hinge side you need: Fire Magic notes the doors on the 3598-DL and 3598-DR are not reversible. Plug it into a properly grounded 115 V GFCI receptacle with a weather-proof in-use cover, and let it stand upright for 24 hours before use if it was transported on its side.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch the door swing later?
No. The 3598-DL (left hinge) and 3598-DR (right hinge) doors are not reversible, so choose the hinge side when you order.
Can it stay in an outdoor island all year?
Fire Magic says it is not designed to operate below 55 F or in unheated, uninsulated spaces, so it is not a year-round open-air refrigerator in the NYC climate.
What cut-out does it need?
20 in wide, 34 1/8 in high and 21 3/4 in deep.
What power does it need?
A 115 V, 15 A minimum GFCI outlet with a weather-proof in-use cover.
