This Fire Magic Choice C430S is the 24 in gas grill on a patio post: a bolt-down stainless post that needs no island, cutout or in-ground footing. With a 432 sq in cooking surface and 46,000 BTU from two U-shaped burners, it suits a smaller patio or deck and feeds a table of ten or so. The built-in 1-hour gas timer and battery-free Turn-to-Light ignition keep it simple.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: grill head, patio post, timer valve, cooking grids, flavor grids, warming rack, drip pan and hardware.
- Required: a gas supply at the correct pressure, a licensed gas fitter, and a solid surface to bolt the patio post to.
- Optional: Fire Magic grill cover for the C430.
Installation Notes
Natural gas runs at 7 in w.c. normal (5 in minimum, 10 1/2 in maximum); propane at 11 in w.c. normal (10 in minimum, 13 in maximum). Keep 5 ft from the cooking surface to overhead construction; do not install under combustible overhead construction, and with non-combustible overhead Fire Magic highly recommends a hood of at least 1200 CFM. Rear wall clearance is 4 in to non-combustible, 14 in to protected combustible and 18 in to combustible walls; side walls 24 in. A qualified professional must install it, and NYC and Long Island jobs need the proper permits. Book a design consultation and we will plan placement and the gas line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bolt it to a wood deck?
The patio post bolts to a surface. Confirm the structure under it, and keep the clearances above to any wall or combustible material. Fire Magic's manual covers the post base.
Does it need electricity?
No. Ignition is Turn-to-Light with no power or batteries.
What is the difference from the in-ground post version?
Only the post. The in-ground post sets 18 in below grade; the patio post bolts to a surface. Grill head and burners are the same.
Is this the multi-user model?
No. The CM430s is the multi-user version with a separate multi-user warranty.

Warranty
Fire Magic (R.H. Peterson) warrants stainless U-burners, cooking grids and housing for life of the original purchaser; brass valves, manifold and inner liners for 15 years; flavor grids and infrared burners for 5 years; other components for 3 years; ignition, electronics and accessories for 1 year. Labor is not covered. It applies to single family residential use with proof of purchase. Full terms: Fire Magic warranty.
