The Echelon Black Collection takes Fire Magic's 5-Series storage and finishes it in a black powder coat over 304 stainless steel, so the doors and drawers in your island match an Echelon Black grill instead of competing with it. This is the workhorse of that line: a two-drawer unit with soft-close glides, foam-filled fronts and a removable utensil bin, built to sit flush in a masonry or framed island.
Key Features
- Black powder coat over 304 stainless steel. A finish engineered to match the Echelon Black grill and accessory line rather than approximate it, over the same 304 stainless Fire Magic uses on its standard storage.
- Soft-close glides on both drawers. The drawer pulls itself the last inch and settles quietly, which keeps the frame square over years of use instead of shaking itself loose.
- Polyurethane foam filled fronts. The foam adds rigidity and insulation, giving each drawer a solid feel and helping buffer the cabinet from outside temperature swings.
- Continuous rain guard gasket. Runs the full perimeter of the frame to keep water out of the island enclosure, which is what separates an outdoor-rated drawer from an indoor one.
- Flush-closing frame. Sits clean against the island face with no proud edges to catch a hip or a sleeve.
- Removable utensil bin included. Tools stay sorted in the top drawer instead of sliding loose every time it opens.

Required to Complete the Installation
Nothing further is required. This is a drop-in unit with no gas, fuel or electrical connection and no separate frame kit to purchase. It needs a finished island opening of 16 in high by 14 1/2 in wide by 20 1/2 in deep. Measure your opening against those cut-out figures before ordering, because a flush frame leaves very little room to adjust once the island is built.
Optional Accessories and Matching Units
The Echelon Black Collection also includes matching single and triple drawers, vertical and horizontal single access doors, double access doors, and door and drawer combinations, so an entire run of island storage can be finished in the same black powder coat.
