The Fire Magic Echelon Diamond E660I Black Glass Gourmet Griddle is a built-in 30 x 18 in gas griddle with a black glass control panel and blue LED lighting to match the Echelon grill line. Two burners give two-zone cooking, and the cutout matches the E660i grill, so it slots into an existing 660 layout. It is the breakfast, fajita and smash-burger half of an outdoor kitchen.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: griddle with stainless steel cover and drip pan.
  • Required: a 120 VAC GFCI weather-proof in-use receptacle, correct gas supply pressure, and a licensed installer.
  • Combustible enclosure: an insulating liner is required. See the Fire Magic insulating liner for E660i and A660i built-in grills (3176-52).
  • Optional: portable cart grill base 660-SC24 and protective covers (sold separately; ask us for current part numbers).

Installation Notes

Gas supply pressure per the Fire Magic manual: natural gas 7 in w.c. normal (5 in minimum, 10 1/2 in maximum); propane 11 in w.c. normal (10 in minimum, 13 in maximum). Keep 5 ft from the countertop to overhead construction, 4 in to a non-combustible rear wall, 12 in to a protected combustible rear wall, 15 in to a combustible rear wall, and 24 in to side walls. The countertop must be non-combustible. A licensed gas fitter must install it, and NYC and Long Island jobs need the correct permits. Frequently Asked Questions

Does this griddle need power?

Yes. Ignition and the blue LED lights run on a 120 VAC, 15 A minimum GFCI grounded weather-proof in-use receptacle, which is not included.

Does it fit an E660i grill cutout?

Yes. Fire Magic lists the same cutout: 31 1/4 in wide x 23 1/2 in deep x 11 1/2 in high.

Do I need an insulating liner?

Only if the enclosure is combustible. Use the correct liner and keep a non-combustible countertop.

What is the cooking area?

Fire Magic publishes a 30 x 18 in cooking surface. Some retail listings quote 660 sq in, which does not match 30 x 18 in (540 sq in), so we list only the dimensions.

Warranty

Fire Magic's published warranty covers built-in griddles (except the ignition system and thermostat) for ten (10) years. Ignition systems and electronic components, including lights and thermostats, are covered for one (1) year.
