The Fire Magic Legacy 24 in charcoal grill on a patio post (22-SC01C-P6) sets a stainless charcoal grill and smoker hood on a post with a base that bolts to a patio, so it stands on its own without an island or footing. A hand crank raises and lowers the charcoal pan for direct searing or indirect cooking, and a front door lets you add coals without lifting the grids. The 24 x 18 in cooking surface takes a full family cookout.

Installation Notes
Before use, the patio base must be bolted to a stable, level surface so the grill stays fixed and upright. The grill is not insulated, so keep at least 18 in at the sides and back from unprotected combustibles such as wood, plastic or wood-framed stucco. It is for outdoor use only and must never go in a fully enclosed area; under a patio roof, Fire Magic calls for a non-combustible chimney and exhaust hood with a fan of 1,000 CFM or more. Many NYC buildings and terraces restrict charcoal grilling, so check your building rules. Book a design consultation and we will help you plan the location.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bolt it to a deck?
The base must be fastened to a stable, level surface. Keep 18 in at the sides and back from unprotected combustibles, and confirm the deck can carry the grill.
Can I smoke on it?
Yes. Lower the pan, fit the charcoal shield and use the hood vents to cook indirectly.
Can I add charcoal while cooking?
Yes. The front access door lets you add or spread coals without removing the grids.
What is the difference from the in-ground version?
Only the mount. The 22-SC01C-G6 is set in a concrete footing; this P6 version bolts to a patio.
