The Firegear Pro Series T burner is a solid brass, T-shaped gas burner that lays a long, even line of flame down the center of a linear or rectangular fire pit. Seven lengths from 24 to 90 in cover a compact table up to a long built-in feature, and each comes as a natural gas or propane burner, with or without a matching flex line kit, using match-throw ignition.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Brass T burner in the length and fuel you select
  • Flex line kit, if selected
  • User manual
  • You will need: a non-combustible fire pit enclosure with ventilation, fire media, a key valve and gas line installed by a licensed gas fitter (or the optional flex line kit)

Installation Notes

Install the burner in a non-combustible enclosure with ventilation openings of at least 18 sq in per side, cover it with fire glass or lava media, and have a licensed gas fitter size and connect the gas line. A long burner needs a gas line sized for its full BTU input, or the flame will be short and uneven. In New York City, outdoor gas piping must be installed by a licensed master plumber under a permit, and FDNY limits propane cylinders on balconies, terraces and rooftops, so confirm what your building and location allow before you plan the installation.

Which length should I choose?

Choose a length that leaves room around the burner for media and ventilation inside your enclosure; lengths run from 24 to 90 in.

Natural gas or propane?

Either; order the fuel version that matches your gas supply.

What does the flex line kit add?

The K versions include a flexible gas connection kit with key valve and fittings for hooking the burner to your gas supply.

What ignition does it use?

Match throw: light it with a long lighter and open the key valve.

Warranty

Firegear warrants burner systems for residential use with a lifetime warranty on construction and manufacturer defects, stainless steel burners and pans and brass burners, and five (5) years on gas valves, spark igniters, pilot assemblies and match-throw key valve components. Commercial applications carry two (2) years. Coverage is for the original purchaser with proof of purchase, per the Firegear manual.
