Natural-gas-only Kodiak match-light packages. Double-stack and triple-stack configurations are kept separate below. Kodiak Timbers is offered only in double-stack sizes through36″; larger sizes offer Char/Split. Heat input, log counts, depth and chimney requirements differ. Confirm the selected model’s installation specifications.

The Hargrove 48 in Stacked Large Vented Log Set is a Kodiak refractory log set on a double stack burner (ember bed burner plus raised main burner), with an optional triple stack add-on for a third tier at the back. Choose Kodiak Char for huge charred logs intertwined with split pieces, or Kodiak Split for large split logs with deep bark. It is a match-light set for a large masonry or wood-burning fireplace with a fully open flue.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: burner system and logs for the double or triple stack variant selected, plus burner pan media (silica sand for natural gas), fire embers, volcanic cinders, connectors and a damper stop per the Hargrove parts list
- Required: a vented, non-combustible fireplace designed and approved to burn wood, with a fully open damper held by the damper stop, a gas supply, and a fire screen in place when burning
- Glass doors must stay fully open while the logs burn
Installation Notes
These logs burn with a yellow, smoky flame that produces carbon monoxide and soot, which must exit the chimney, so the damper has to be locked open and the flue clear. Use a natural gas set only on natural gas. Because Hargrove lists this burner as NON CERTIFIED, confirm approval with your building and gas inspector before purchase, particularly in New York City. Personnel qualified to install gas appliances must install it. Book a design consultation and we will measure the opening and check the flue with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a working chimney?
Yes. The fireplace must be vented, non-combustible, approved for wood and have a fully open damper and clear chimney.
Can it run on propane?
Hargrove lists propane only up to 36 in sets, so this 48 in set is natural gas only. Propane also requires an automatic pilot system.
What is the difference between double and triple stack?
Double stack is the ember bed plus raised main burner. Triple stack adds a third burner and tier of logs at the back and needs a deeper fireplace.
Will it fit my firebox?
Measure the front width, back width and depth. A 48 in match-light set needs 52 in at the front, 48 in at the back and at least 21 in of depth.

Warranty
Per Hargrove's limited warranty: refractory logs carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects or breakage when installed indoors; burner and grate for five (5) years; valves, remote controls and switching devices for two (2) years; other parts for two (2) years. Outdoor applications carry a one (1) year limited warranty. Breakage from handling the logs after they have been fired is not covered.
