Installation Notes
Install the ice machine where it stays above freezing and drain it before temperatures drop below 32 F. Hestan advises a contained area with a floor drain, and water line installation is not covered by its warranty. Do not let the countertop weight rest on the unit. Use a licensed plumber and electrician, and expect NYC and Long Island jobs to need the proper permits. Book a design consultation and we will fit the cutout, water and drain into your plan.
Documentation
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need a drain?
Yes. The unit continually makes excess water that must drain. Plan a floor drain or drain line, or Hestan's optional AGDP drain pump.
Can it stay outside in winter?
It will not work at sub-freezing temperatures. Drain it and shut off the water if air temperature will fall below 32 F.
Is the door reversible?
It is sold as a left-hinge or right-hinge model; choose your hinge at checkout.
What size cutout does it need?
15 in wide, 34 in high and 24 in deep.

Warranty
Per Hestan's limited warranty in the installation manual, products carry a two (2) year basic warranty from the original retail purchase date, covering parts and labor. The extended five (5) year sealed-system coverage in that warranty applies to Hestan undercounter refrigerators, not the ice machine.
