The IronStrike Striker S160 with the arched door is a compact EPA-certified wood stove for a living room, den or cabin, rated up to 55,600 BTU/h and 700 to 1,400 sq ft depending on the home. Its 1.6 cu ft firebox takes 18 in logs, the air wash keeps the tall ceramic glass clear, and a single control sets the burn for six to eight hours on a load.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • You will need: a leg base with the bottom heat shield, or a pedestal base (IronStrike requires one of these, sold separately), 6 in connector pipe, a listed chimney with about 12 ft minimum effective height, non-combustible floor protection, and installation by a qualified installer

Installation Notes

Install the stove with all required components: legs with the bottom heat shield, or the pedestal base. It needs a 6 in connector of at least 24 MSG black steel or listed double wall pipe, a listed chimney about 12 ft or more in effective height, and a chimney top at least 3 ft above the roof and 2 ft higher than any roof surface within 10 ft. Clearances to combustibles depend on the connector type and layout (parallel, corner or alcove); use the table in the installation manual, and place the stove on non-combustible floor protection.

Burn only dry, seasoned cordwood, never use a grate or other method to raise the fire, and keep fuel outside the installation clearances. Install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and check local building department requirements.

Does it come with legs or a pedestal?

The stove body is sold separately from its base. IronStrike requires either legs with the bottom heat shield or a pedestal base.

Logs up to 18 in long.

Warranty

IronStrike (Innovative Hearth Products) gives a limited lifetime warranty on the stove body, firebox and ceramic glass, with IHP labor rates covered for up to five years. Removable air tubes are covered for seven years, refractory, screens and plating for two years, and gaskets, cast iron parts and electrical components for one year. Vent components, trim and paint are excluded; installation by an IHP-approved licensed contractor is required. See the manual for full terms.
