The Kenyon Texan IntelliKEN Touch is a freestanding 240V electric grill on a stand, with two independently controlled 1500 W elements and a 310 square inch cooking surface. Concealed elements remove flare-ups and smoke, which is why electric grills like this are chosen for decks, patios and balconies where gas is not allowed. Choose a single or split lid, with or without a cover.

The grill ships with a 3-wire cord and no plug, so it is hardwired unless a plug is added. Kenyon requires suitable shelter so the grill is not directly exposed to rain. Level the stand with elevator bolts, fasten it to a deck or patio, or use the locking casters, and keep the casters locked in strong wind. This is an electric unit with no gas line, vent or chimney, which makes it a practical choice for New York City apartments, condos and townhouses where gas or vented appliances are not an option. Check your building or co-op rules for balcony use, and have a licensed electrician hardwire it or run any new 240V circuit to local code.
