The Kingsman IDV26 (Capella series) is a direct vent gas insert that turns an existing wood-burning fireplace into a sealed, efficient gas fire. It has a dual burner with glowing embers and an ash bed, a heat-activated variable-speed blower and ceramic glass, and it is sold with millivolt or ProFlame 2 electronic ignition. Choose a Clean View front, media and liner to match the room.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- Required: a media set (logs, or a glass or rock platform with media), a direct vent liner kit and termination for the chimney, a gas line and a licensed installer
- Optional: porcelain or brick liner, surrounds, wall thermostat, remote for millivolt models
Installation Notes
Before installation the chimney must be inspected, cleaned and repaired as needed, and any damper plate, liners or grates that block the insert removed. The insert must not share a flue with a solid-fuel appliance, and the vent liner must terminate in a rain cap with the space between chimney and liner capped. Gas can connect with 1/2 in rigid pipe, copper or an approved flex connector. In New York City, gas work must be done by a licensed master plumber under permit, so confirm your fireplace and chimney before ordering. Will it fit my fireplace?
With the controls inside, the opening must be at least 33 in wide at the front (centered), 22 in at the back, 19-1/2 in high and 14-1/4 in deep. Moving the controls outside reduces the front width to 28 in.
Does it need power?
Millivolt models run without household power. ProFlame 2 models use electronic ignition and the blower needs power.
Which front should I choose?
Pick the Clean View front that covers your fireplace opening; the size each one covers is listed in the front option.
Is media included?
No. Media is required and selected separately: logs, or a glass or rock platform with decorative media.

Warranty
Per the Kingsman manual: basic one (1) year warranty on component parts including labor at Kingsman rates through an authorized dealer, and a limited lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner for the original owner (labor, material and freight not covered under the lifetime terms). Accent light bulbs, gasketing and paint are excluded.
