The Majestic Jasper 30 (JASPER30IN) is a direct vent gas insert that converts an existing wood-burning fireplace into a sealed, efficient gas fire. It is rated at 30,000 BTU/h on natural gas, making it a real supplemental heater for the room, with a split log set and IntelliFire ignition.
It fits masonry and factory-built wood fireboxes down to a 31-5/8 in. front width, 21 in. height and 15 in. depth, and finishes with a choice of Majestic decorative barrier fronts and surrounds. Propane operation is rated at 28,000 BTU/h.

- Required: a direct vent liner kit, such as the Majestic LINK-DV30B direct vent insert kit
- Required: surround, gas supply line and 110-120 VAC power
- Optional: BRICKMI30 traditional brick interior panels, fan kit and remote control
Installation Notes
Confirm the existing firebox meets the minimum opening in the table, have the chimney inspected and cleaned, and run the direct vent liners to the termination cap. The metal floor and front lip of a factory-built firebox may be removed as the manual allows, and the insert needs at least 1/4 in. clearance below it. The decorative barrier front must be installed before use. In New York City, gas inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, and the existing chimney must be inspected before the liner kit goes in. Book a design consultation to plan the layout, utilities and installation.

Will it fit my fireplace?
Your firebox needs at least 31-5/8 in. of front width, 21 in. of front height and 15 in. of depth with a standard surround. Send us measurements and photos and we will confirm.
Is a front included?
No. A decorative barrier front is required and must be ordered with the insert: Inside Fit, Clean Screen or Contemporary Arch.
Does it need a new chimney liner?
Yes. Direct vent inserts use a liner kit run through the existing chimney to a termination cap.
Will it heat the room?
At up to 30,000 BTU/h on natural gas it is a meaningful supplemental heat source, though Majestic notes it is not intended as a primary heat source.

Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the Majestic owner's manual: the firebox and heat exchanger are covered for the limited lifetime term (HHT defines lifetime as 20 years for gas appliances) with 3 years labor; burners, logs and refractory 10 years with 1 year labor; electrical components such as modules, remotes, wall switches, valves, pilots, blowers and junction boxes 2 years; igniters, electronic components and glass, and all other parts 1 year. Coverage begins at installation, applies while the fireplace stays at its original site, and requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer.
