Overall Dimensions: rough opening 42 in. W x 39-3/4 in. H x 22 in. D
The Majestic Reveal 36 is an open-hearth B-vent gas fireplace with a traditional brick interior, a detailed ceramic fiber log set and a three-level burner that builds a tall, full flame. It is meant for homeowners who want the look of a wood-burning masonry fireplace with the convenience of gas.
Majestic rates it at 40,000 BTU/h on natural gas and 38,000 BTU/h on propane, with IntelliFire intermittent pilot ignition. It vents vertically with 6 in. B-vent and draws combustion air from the room, and optional bi-fold glass doors finish the opening.

Installation Notes
Frame a 42 in. wide, 39-3/4 in. high and 22 in. deep rough opening and run 6 in. double-wall B-vent vertically, with at least 12 ft and no more than 60 ft of rise and no more than 30 ft of horizontal run. Leave 3 ft of clear space in front, keep 30 in. to the ceiling, and use only certified glass doors, operated fully open or fully closed. Majestic says the Reveal should not be counted as a primary heat source. In New York City, gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and a B-vent needs a clear vertical path to the roof. Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a direct vent fireplace?
No. The Reveal is a B-vent fireplace: it exhausts through 6 in. B-vent to the roof and uses room air for combustion.
Does it need glass doors?
Doors are optional in most areas, though the manual notes they are required in Massachusetts. If you add them, use only certified doors and run them fully open or fully closed.
Can it heat my house?
Majestic approves it as supplemental room heat or a decorative appliance and says not to count it as primary heat.
Natural gas or propane?
Both. It is rated at 40,000 BTU/h on natural gas and 38,000 BTU/h on propane; the Propane option includes the conversion kit.
