The Majestic Ruby 30 Freestanding brings a split-log gas fire into a room that has no fireplace: the 30 in. Ruby direct vent firebox sits in a steel cabinet on a pedestal base, so it needs no hearth, mantel or framing. It is a strong fit for finished basements, dens and open rooms where a built-in fireplace is not practical.
The firebox is rated at 22,890 to 32,700 BTU/h on natural gas (RUBY30IN) and 22,400 to 32,000 BTU/h on propane (RUBY30IL), with ceramic glass, IntelliFire Touch ignition and an integrated fan to move heat into the room.

Installation Notes
The freestanding Ruby and Trilliant use the 30 in. direct vent insert set into a Majestic steel cabinet with a pedestal base, so the unit stands on the floor with no framing, mantel or hearth. The insert manual lists LINK-DV vent components and SLP 6-5/8 in. direct vent pipe; your installer will confirm the vent route for the freestanding setup from the Majestic instructions. Plan for a gas line to the valve and a 110-120 VAC GFCI-protected circuit. In New York City, direct vent gas fireplaces are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and the vent termination location usually decides feasibility. Does it need a chimney?
No. It is a direct vent appliance that draws combustion air from outside and exhausts through its own sealed vent system. Your installer confirms the approved vent route from the Majestic instructions.

Majestic pairs the Ruby 30 firebox with the CK-30 steel cabinet and pedestal base. Confirm with us which freestanding components your order includes.
How much heat does it produce?
Up to 32,700 BTU/h on natural gas or 32,000 BTU/h on propane, with an integrated fan to circulate heat.
Can I change the interior later?
Yes. Interior panels such as traditional brick or reflective black glass are sold separately and can be swapped by a qualified technician.

Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the Majestic owner's manual: the firebox and heat exchanger are covered for the lifetime term (HHT defines lifetime as 20 years for gas appliances) with 3 years labor; burners, logs and refractory components 10 years with 1 year labor; electrical components such as modules, remotes, wall switches, valves, pilots, blowers and lights 2 years; all other parts 1 year. Coverage begins at installation, is transferable while the fireplace stays at its original site, and requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer.
