Description
Description
Overall Dimensions: 36 in. model 42 in. W x 22-3/4 in. D x 41-1/4 in. H; 42 in. model 48 in. W x 22-3/4 in. D x 41-1/4 in. H
The Majestic Sovereign Radiant (SA36R and SA42R) is a traditional masonry-style wood-burning fireplace in 36 in. and 42 in. sizes, with a firebrick interior and a 23-3/8 in. high opening. The radiant version has no louvers, so the face reads as a clean brick fireplace once it is finished.
It is a shallow, 22-3/4 in. deep firebox that fits more framing plans than a deep masonry box, and it is UL 127 and ULC-S610 listed with Majestic SL300 Series chimney. Add bi-fold glass doors or Grand Vista mesh doors from the options above.

An outside air kit, gas insert, gas log set or log lighter should be installed at the time of the fireplace installation, and the hearth extension is required. Use a qualified installer and follow the Majestic installers manual for chases, firestops and termination. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we sell Majestic wood-burning fireplaces for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows them. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Sovereign Radiant and Heat Circulating models?
The heat-circulating Sovereign has louvers above and below the opening and can take a fan kit. The Radiant model has no louvers and warms by radiant heat, which gives a cleaner finished face.
What chimney does it use?
Majestic SL300 Series chimney, with a 2 in. clearance to combustibles and building insulation.
Is the firebrick included?
Yes. The refractory, firescreen and grate ship with the fireplace. The hearth extension, chimney and termination cap are sold separately.
Can this be installed in New York City?
No. New wood-burning fireplaces are not permitted in the five boroughs under Local Law 38 of 2015. We supply the Sovereign for homes outside the city where local code allows it.

Warranty
Majestic wood fireplaces are covered by the Hearth & Home Technologies limited warranty, which begins at installation and transfers to later owners while the fireplace stays at its original site. The current HHT warranty table lists the firebox and heat exchanger of wood appliances at 20 years parts with 3 years labor, and all other parts at 1 year. Coverage requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer and installation per the manual; overfiring voids the warranty.
