The Kingsman RSP10 is the glass support platform for the Capri IDV34 and IDV44 direct vent gas inserts, supplied with 15 lbs. of bronze glass embers. The Capri manual lists RSP10 as one of the media choices required for each unit (the alternative is the fiber split oak log set).

Installation Notes

Remove the grate bar and ember plates, keep the existing pilot shield, set the tray over the burner and fix the retainer with the existing screws. If refractory liners are used, cut 3/4 in. off each end of the retainer. Keep glass clear of the pilot area so ignition is not delayed, and inspect the pilot shield monthly. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required.

Does it fit the IDV26?

The Capri IDV34/IDV44 manual lists RSP10 for the IDV34 and IDV44; it names MQRSP8 as the glass platform for the IDV26, IDV33 and IDV43.

Warranty

Kingsman limited warranty, per the Kingsman and Marquis manuals: in the first year after installation, Kingsman replaces any component part found defective in materials or workmanship, with labor at its rate schedule through an authorized Kingsman dealer (accent light bulbs, gasketing and paint excluded). The lifetime term covers the fireplace heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner, not accessories, and applies only at the original installation site in the United States or Canada. The manuals note that discoloration of glass media placed on the burner is not covered.
