The American Fyre Designs 40 in Marseille Fire Bowl is a handcrafted glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) gas fire bowl for patios, pool decks and outdoor lounges. It is a low-profile, conversation-height fire feature with a 16 in stainless steel star burner, available in manual flame-sensing control or with Bluetooth FyreStarter electronic ignition. Use lava rock, gas logs or fire glass to set the look.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: GFRC fire bowl and the burner system for the option selected
- Media is purchased separately per the manual. For this bowl the manual recommends about 40 lb of lava granules or about 80 lb of glass. See American Fyre Designs fire glass
- Needed: gas line (inlet 5 to 10.5 in w.c. natural gas, 11 to 13 in w.c. propane) or a propane tank, and for FyreStarter a 120 VAC GFCI outlet
- Optional: cover, tank/end table, pedestal and wind guard
Installation Notes
Outdoor use only. Installation and service must be done by a qualified installer, and the unit must be kept clear of combustibles per the minimum clearances in the manual. Use only Peterson AFD controls, parts and media listed for this burner system. If you plan to use propane, a tank enclosure needs the ventilation openings the manual describes. Book a design consultation to plan placement and gas supply.

Does it come with fire glass or lava rock?
Media is purchased separately according to the manual. Plan for about 40 lb of lava or 80 lb of glass.
What is the difference between the burner options?
The standard option has manual flame-sensing control at 65,000 BTU/hr. The FyreStarter option adds Bluetooth electronic ignition with 100,000 BTU/hr high and 54,000 BTU/hr low settings.
Can it run on propane?
Yes. Choose propane at checkout. A tank can be hidden in the optional tank/end table or pedestal.
Is it for indoor use?
No. It is certified for outdoor decorative use only.
