The Divine 42 See-Through (H42FSD) is a two-sided direct vent gas fireplace with a large, nearly square 39-3/8 in. x 30-3/8 in. viewing area on each face, a traditional burner and logset, a Heritage brick liner and a wrought iron grate. It suits a wall between a living room and a dining room or kitchen where both spaces should feel like they have a real fireplace. Choose a millivolt standing pilot model that needs no household power, or Proflame 2 electronic ignition for remote, wall control and WiFi options.

- Required: 5 in. / 8 in. direct vent pipe and a wall or roof termination, either Montigo vent or an approved alternate listed in the manual (DuraVent DirectVent Pro connects through adapter 58DVA-AD-M1). We carry 58DVA-HC horizontal and 58DVA-VCH vertical caps, 58DVA-36 pipe and 58DVA-E90 elbows
- Required: a gas supply line; Proflame 2 models also need a 115V, 60 Hz circuit

Installation Notes
Frame to 45 in. W x 49-1/2 in. H x 24 in. D and finish both faces of the wall. A combustible shelf must sit at least 12 in. above the unit with side venting or 19 in. with top venting, and the sides of the fireplace need 2 in. to a wall. The vent can terminate up to 32 ft above the fireplace. Standing pilot models operate without household electricity, which helps in a power outage; Proflame 2 models need a 115V supply and gain remote and app control. Installation must be done by a qualified, licensed gas installer. In New York City, direct vent fireplaces fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code, with a licensed master plumber and DOB filing where required; the termination location usually decides feasibility in apartments and townhouses. We confirm venting and permitting during a fireplace design consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Standing pilot or electronic ignition: which should I choose?
Standing pilot (H42FSDN / H42FSDL) keeps a small pilot lit and runs on its own millivolt power, with manual Hi-Lo flame control. Proflame 2 electronic ignition (H42FSDNI / H42FSDLI) lights the pilot only when needed, is slightly more efficient (68.3% vs 66% FE) and is required for the remote, wall remote and WiFi options.
Is a remote included?
The multi-function remote is an option on this model and works only with the Proflame 2 electronic ignition versions.
Can I get glass media instead of logs?
The H42FSD ships with the traditional logset. Montigo also builds a contemporary Divine see-through burner for glass media; ask our team about availability for the 42 before you order.
Does it vent through both rooms?
No. It is one sealed firebox with a single 5 in. / 8 in. direct vent run through an exterior wall or the roof.

Warranty
Montigo Residential Warranty Program (per the manual): firebox, heat exchanger and main burner 15 years, with 1 year of labor; gas controls, electrical components, remotes, media, glass, finishes and safety barriers 1 year, parts and labor. Transferable while the fireplace stays in its original installation; requires installation by a licensed professional and annual service by an authorized Montigo dealer. Montigo's terms also require the fireplace to be purchased and installed through an authorized Montigo dealer.
