Description

The Montigo Exemplar RP424 is a premium three-sided pier / peninsula gas fireplace designed to create a dramatic architectural focal point between adjoining spaces. It delivers a 48-inch-wide viewing area, 45,000 BTU input in either natural gas or propane, reflective firebox surfaces and halogen uplighting in a frameless, power-vented design.

Important configuration note: the RP424 cannot be installed without an approved Montigo 5"/8" 300-Series power vent system and the correct power-vent control cable/harness. Those components are not included in the base fireplace price on this page and must be selected for the actual vent layout.

Required Power Vent System

The RP424 is a dedicated power-vent fireplace. The vent system must be engineered around the actual termination location and vent run. Current compatible Montigo 5"/8" 300-Series options include:

  • PVHEX58-300 — wall-mounted power vent
  • PVHFL58-300 — flush/louvered wall-mounted power vent
  • PVVEX58-300 — roof-mounted power vent
  • PVHIN58-300-FS — inline power vent used with the appropriate termination

The correct power-vent control cable/harness is also required. Because the proper vent and cable depend on the installation, contact us before ordering so we can build the complete vent package.

Media & Appearance

Montigo's current RP424 specification lists speckled stones or approved glass media as the standard contemporary media choices. A driftwood log set is available as an optional upgrade. If you want a specific media style, confirm it with our team before the order is released.

Controls

The fireplace is designed for simple on/off operation and can be paired with Montigo's compatible optional remote-control system. The RP424 does not use a conventional manual Hi/Lo flame adjustment.

Warranty

Montigo Residential Warranty Program: the firebox, heat exchanger and main burner are covered for 15 years with 1 year of labor, and gas controls, electrical components, media and glass are covered for 1 year. Montigo's warranty terms require the fireplace to be purchased, installed and serviced annually by an authorized Montigo dealer for coverage to remain valid.
