Description

This Majestic set pairs the PH-MR passive heat kit with the PH-FRTTRIM-36 front discharge trim for the Meridian 36 direct vent gas fireplaces. Passive heat vents warm air from above the firebox back into the same room through a discharge opening, and the Meridian manuals list PH-FRTTRIM-36 as the front discharge register, which requires PH-MR.

Installation Notes

Plan passive heat before framing: the Meridian manuals give separate framing dimensions for front discharge with and without the trim kit, a chase ceiling within 3 in. of the top of the opening, and mesh rules for larger openings. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required.

Do I need PH-MR with the trim?

Yes. The Meridian manuals say the PH-FRTTRIM front discharge registers require PH-MR; this set includes both.

Does it fit the 42 in. Meridian?

No. The 42 in. models use PH-FRTTRIM-42 with PH-MR.
