The Primo Easy Lift Hinge and Handle Kit restores effortless lid operation to your Oval XL 400 kamado, cutting the force needed to raise the ceramic dome by roughly 70 percent. This is the factory replacement assembly for Oval XL 400 grills built after 2015, the generation that uses looped end bands. The kit arrives complete with the spring-assisted hinge, both stainless steel bands, and the handle with integrated lid support.
- Spring-assisted hinge cuts lid opening effort by about 70 percent, so the dome lifts easily with one hand
- Correct fit for Oval XL 400 kamados manufactured after 2015 - the looped end band generation

Which Kit Fits My Grill?
Primo changed the band design in 2015. Look at the ends of the metal bands wrapped around your grill: looped ends mean you have a post-2015 grill and need this kit (PGHXL). Straight edge ends mean you have a pre-2015 grill and need the pre-2015 X-Large kit (PGHLXL) instead.
