Description
This is the Primo Easy Lift Hinge and Handle Kit for pre-2015 Oval Large 300 and Oval XL 400 kamado grills - the generation built with straight edge end bands. The spring-assisted hinge cuts the force needed to raise the ceramic dome by roughly 70 percent, and each kit ships complete with the hinge, both stainless steel bands, and the handle with integrated lid support. Choose your grill size above.

- Built specifically for pre-2015 Primo ovals that use straight edge end bands
- Available for both the Oval Large 300 (PGHLLG) and the Oval XL 400 (PGHLXL)
- Stainless steel bands resist rust and hold the ceramic dome and base in precise alignment
- Handle includes an integrated lid support that steadies the dome while you load and tend the fire

Pre-2015 or Post-2015? Check Your Bands First
Primo redesigned the band ends in 2015, and the two generations are not interchangeable. Look at the ends of the metal bands wrapped around your grill where they meet at the hinge:
- Straight edge ends - pre-2015. This listing is the correct kit. Select Oval Large 300 (PGHLLG) or Oval XL 400 (PGHLXL) above.
- Looped ends - post-2015. You need the post-2015 kit instead: PGHLG for the Oval Large 300, PGHXL for the Oval XL 400, PGHR for the Round kamado.
The Oval Junior 200 kit (PGHJR) is the one exception - a single kit fits both pre-2015 and post-2015 Junior grills.
