The Outdoor GreatRoom Ready to Finish Linear Gas Fire Pit Kit is a G90 marine-grade galvanized steel frame with Fiberock backerboard and an aluminum top, built to be finished on site in the material you choose. Granite or Supercast concrete tops and stone or stucco bases are common choices, so the pit can match your patio. A UL listed Crystal Fire Plus linear burner insert is included, which makes this a good fit for builders and homeowners who want a custom-looking fire table without a custom fabrication bill.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Not included: direct spark ignition controls beyond the kit, timers, e-stops and fire media; you may need more media depending on the opening, such as the Outdoor GreatRoom Tempered Fire Glass Gems
  • Required: finishing materials and labor, a gas line run by a licensed professional, and fire media in place whenever the burner runs

Installation Notes

Finish the kit with non-combustible materials and follow the Outdoor GreatRoom manuals for clearances, ventilation and gas pressure. Gas work should be done by a licensed professional. In New York City, outdoor gas appliances fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code and need a permitted installation, so book a consultation before you plan the build.

What do I finish it with?

Outdoor GreatRoom suggests granite or Supercast concrete for the top and stone or stucco for the base, but any suitable non-combustible finish works.

Does it include fire glass?

It includes clear glass gems, and the manufacturer notes you may need more depending on the enclosure opening. Media must be in place when the burner runs.

Can I use propane?

Yes. The kits are prepared for propane and include a natural gas conversion kit, and the page recommends hard piping. The tall kits in 48 and 60 in. fit a 20 lb tank in the base.

Can I order a custom size?

Warranty

Outdoor GreatRoom lists a 5 year structural warranty on ready-to-finish enclosures. The finish is not covered. The stainless steel Crystal Fire Plus burner has a residential limited lifetime warranty of 10 years, and ignition and electronic components are covered for 3 years.
