Description
The Real Fyre PB is Peterson's vented pan burner for glass media, the contemporary alternative to gas logs in a working wood-burning fireplace. Flames rise across the entire pan, which suits see-through, peninsula and island fireplaces as well as standard openings.
Choose 18, 24 or 30 in., natural gas or propane, and one of two factory valve systems: the 17 Series with a standing pilot and variable remote, or the 02 Series with electronic pilot ignition and remote. Glass media is purchased separately.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: PB pan burner assembled with the selected 17 or 02 series valve and remote, flex connector and damper clamp, per the Real Fyre manual
- Required: Real Fyre glass media, purchased separately
- Required: a working wood-burning fireplace and chimney that meet the minimum size and damper opening tables
- Required: installation by a qualified gas professional
Installation Notes
Check the firebox against the minimum size table and the chimney against the damper venting table before ordering, and install the damper clamp so the damper can never fully close. Glass doors must be fully open while the burner runs. Vented gas burners go only in a working wood-burning fireplace with a sound chimney, and the damper must be clamped open with the supplied clamp. In New York City, the gas line must be run by a licensed plumber. Book a design consultation to size the burner to your fireplace.

Frequently Asked Questions
17 Series or 02 Series?
The 17 Series has a standing pilot you light by hand and a variable flame remote. The 02 Series lights the pilot electronically from the remote.
Which size do I need?
Measure front width, rear width, depth and height of the firebox; the PB-18 needs at least 33 x 29 x 16 x 17 in., and larger sizes need more.
Is glass included?
No. Glass media is purchased separately.
Can it go in a gas-only firebox?
No. It is a vented decorative appliance for a solid-fuel burning fireplace with a working flue.

Peterson Co. vented decorative gas appliance limited warranty, per the Real Fyre manual: indoor vented gas log burners and stainless steel burners (excluding controls) 10 years; APK-17 (including the -17 valve) 2 years; SPK-26 3 years; all other valves, pilots and controls 1 year (excluding batteries); vented refractory gas logs lifetime indoors and 3 years outdoors; fiber-ceramic blended logs 5 years indoors; glass, gems and nuggets 10 years. Original purchaser, United States or Canada, single family residential use, proof of purchase required; labor is not covered.
