Description
The Real Fyre Shoreline Driftwood (SDW) is a weathered driftwood style vented gas log set from Robert H. Peterson Co., offered here on its own or with the Real Fyre P45 vented pan burner. Peterson lists the Shoreline Driftwood as a log option for the P45 burner system.
Choose 18, 24 or 30 in., natural gas or propane. The burner package uses the 17 Series valve with a standing pilot and variable flame remote. The logs-only option is for replacing logs on an existing Peterson burner.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included with the burner option: Shoreline Driftwood logs and the P45 pan burner with 17 Series valve, remote, and the sand or vermiculite for the pan, per the Real Fyre instructions
- Logs-only option: the Shoreline Driftwood log set only; it must be used on a Peterson Real Fyre burner
- Required: a working wood-burning fireplace and chimney that meet the minimum size and damper tables, and a qualified gas installer
- Optional embers and accents: Real Fyre Ember Glow and Real Fyre Super Embers
Installation Notes
Pour the sand or vermiculite into the pan before placing embers and logs, then follow the Shoreline Driftwood placement diagram for your size and keep the spacing between logs to avoid sooting. Install the damper clamp so the damper never fully closes. Vented gas burners go only in a working wood-burning fireplace with a sound chimney, and the damper must be clamped open with the supplied clamp. In New York City, the gas line must be run by a licensed plumber. Book a design consultation to size the set to your fireplace.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use these logs on another brand's burner?
No. Peterson states the Shoreline Driftwood logs are for use only with Real Fyre burners and valves.
Which size fits my fireplace?
The P45-18 needs at least 25 in. front width, 19 in. rear width, 16 in. depth and 17 in. height; larger sets need more.
What does the 17 Series valve do?
It has a standing pilot lit by hand and a variable flame remote that turns the burner on and adjusts the flame.
Are the logs vent-free?
No. This is a vented decorative set that needs an open chimney damper.

Original purchaser, United States or Canada, single family residential use, proof of purchase required; labor is not covered.
