What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: SF-BI36-EB fireplace, remote control with 2 AAA batteries, mounting and leveling brackets with screws, and a power cord for 120V, per the manual
- Option above: SF-EF36-BK black front
- Required: a framed opening and a 15 A circuit; 208V or 240V operation must be hard-wired by an electrician
Installation Notes
Frame the opening to 37-3/4 x 31-1/2 x 11-5/8 in. for 120V, or 33-1/2 in. high for 240V, and shim for the finished floor if the unit sits on a sub-floor. A 15 A, 60 Hz circuit is required, preferably dedicated; hard-wiring uses minimum 14 AWG copper. Check the mantel clearance chart in the manual before setting a mantel. Electric fireplaces need no gas line, chimney or venting, which makes them a practical choice for New York City apartments and condos. Book a design consultation to plan the wall, mantel and power.

What size opening do I frame?
37-3/4 in. wide, 11-5/8 in. deep and 31-1/2 in. high for 120V, or 33-1/2 in. high for 240V.
Can it run without heat?
Yes. Flames run with or without heat.
Do I need the black front?
No. It is optional, and adds a 2 in. overhang that hides drywall transitions.
