The Alturi Power Burner (ALTPB2) is a high-output built-in burner from Summerset's Alturi line, made for stockpots, woks, seafood boils and canning that a grill head cannot handle. Two independently controlled rings deliver 54,000 BTU on a heavy stainless steel grate, and a stainless steel lid closes it off when it is not in use.
It shares the #304 stainless steel construction, knob styling and LED-lit controls of the Alturi grills, so it sits naturally beside an Alturi grill in the same island. Choose Natural Gas (ALTPB2-NG) or Propane (ALTPB2-LP) above.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- Required: a non-combustible island cutout of about 21 x 22-3/4 x 10-1/4 in.
- Recommended: a matching Alturi grill and Summerset access doors for the same island
Installation Notes
The ALTPB2 drops into a non-combustible island cutout of about 21 in. wide, 22-3/4 in. deep and 10-1/4 in. high; check the line drawing and add 1/4 in. to the inner dimensions as Summerset recommends. Order the fuel version that matches your gas supply, and have a licensed gas fitter make the connection and leak test it. In New York City, gas grills on terraces and rooftops are regulated by the FDNY and the Department of Buildings, gas piping must be run by a licensed master plumber, and propane cylinder use is heavily restricted, so we review the space before quoting. Book a design consultation to plan the island, gas line and layout.

AMD Direct Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty for gas appliances, per the current Summerset owner's manual (purchases from 3/1/23): lifetime coverage on construction and manufacturer defects, stainless steel construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, flame tamers, heat zone separators, temperature gauges and hood springs, and 3 years on all other parts, components and electrical, including LED bulbs, wire harness, switches and transformer. The warranty covers replacement parts only, not labor, applies to the original purchaser at the original site, and requires online registration within 30 days of purchase. Surface rust and discoloration from harsh environments are not covered.
