The Summerset Pro Series power burner (PB2PROL) is a built-in propane burner rated at 60,000 BTU across a 24,000 BTU inner ring and a 36,000 BTU outer ring, for seafood boils, wok cooking and stockpots that overwhelm a standard side burner.

It is built from #443 stainless steel with a removable #201 stainless steel grate, piezo ignition and LED front-panel lighting, and a lid closes it off when not in use. Choose the matching Summerset cover above.

Installation Notes

Build the island from non-combustible materials with a 13-3/4 x 19 x 8 in. cutout, meet the 4 in. backsplash clearance and keep 14 in. at the sides and rear from a protected combustible wall, and add the ventilation openings the manual specifies for an enclosed gas line or tank. In New York City, gas appliances on terraces and rooftops are regulated by the FDNY and the Department of Buildings, gas piping must be run by a licensed master plumber, and propane cylinder use is heavily restricted, so we review the space before quoting. Book a design consultation to plan the island, gas line and layout.

AMD Direct (Summerset) Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty for gas appliances, per the current Summerset owner's manual: lifetime coverage on construction and manufacturer defects, stainless steel construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, flame tamers, heat zone separators, temperature gauges and hood springs, and 3 years on all other parts, components and electrical, including LED bulbs, wire harness, switches, power source wire and transformer. The warranty covers replacement parts only, not labor, applies to the original purchaser at the original site of delivery, and requires online registration within 30 days of purchase; surface rust and discoloration from harsh environments are not covered.
