The Summerset SB2PROL Pro double side burner (Propane) adds two 12,000 BTU burners, 24,000 BTU in all, to the outdoor kitchen, so sauces, sides and a pot of corn cook while the grill handles the main course.
Each burner has its own control, LED pin lighting with a white to red bezel shows burner status after dark, and a stainless steel lid closes over the burners between cooks. Choose it alone or bundled with the matching vinyl cover above.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: SB2PROL side burner with lid, grate, drip tray, manual and gas conversion kit, per the manual
- Optional, selectable above: Summerset GRILLCOV-SB2 vinyl cover
- Required: a propane supply connected by a licensed gas fitter, and a 120V outlet for the lighting transformer
- Required: a non-combustible island with the cutout above, or the Summerset double side burner insulated liner
Installation Notes
Cut the non-combustible island to 10-3/4 in. wide, 20-3/4 in. deep and 8 in. high, meet the 4 in. backsplash clearance and keep 14 in. at the sides and rear from a protected combustible wall. Use at least 1/2 in. inside diameter gas pipe, and plug the lighting transformer into a grounded outlet. In New York City, gas appliances on terraces and rooftops are regulated by the FDNY and the Department of Buildings, gas piping must be run by a licensed master plumber, and propane cylinder use is heavily restricted, so we review the space before quoting. Book a design consultation to plan the island, gas line and layout.

AMD Direct (Summerset) Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty for gas appliances, per the current Summerset manual: lifetime coverage on construction and manufacturer defects, stainless steel construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, flame tamers, heat zone separators, temperature gauges and hood springs, and 3 years on all other parts, components and electrical, including LED bulbs, wire harness, switches, power source wire and transformer. The warranty covers replacement parts only, not labor, applies to the original purchaser at the original site of delivery, and requires online registration within 30 days of purchase; surface rust and discoloration from harsh environments are not covered.
