The Summerset TRL Pro 32 in. built-in gas grill (TRLPRO32) is a compact three-burner grill that still includes a rear burner and a rotisserie kit, a good fit for smaller islands where every inch of counter matters. Summerset rates the main burners at 60,000 BTU combined with a 15,000 BTU rear burner, 75,000 BTU in total.
Electronic spark ignition, backlit LED knobs that turn red when a burner is on, and interior halogen plus exterior LED lights make it easy to cook after dark. Two heat zone separators help you set up direct and indirect zones.

Installation Notes
For a built-in, the island must be non-combustible; cement board over steel studs with 4 in. vents at the top and bottom is Summerset's recommendation, and a combustible surround needs the insulated liner. Clearances are 2 in. at the sides and rear from non-combustible walls or a backsplash, 10 in. from a protected combustible wall and 14 in. from a combustible wall, with 5 ft from the countertop to any overhead construction. Under combustible overhead construction an exhaust hood is required, larger than the cooking area and rated at least 1,000 CFM. In New York City, gas grills on terraces and rooftops are regulated by the FDNY and the Department of Buildings, gas piping must be run by a licensed master plumber, and propane cylinder use is heavily restricted, so we review the space before quoting. Is the rotisserie included?
Yes. Summerset includes the rotisserie kit with the TRL Pro 32, along with a 15,000 BTU rear burner.
What cutout does it need?
30-1/2 in. W x 20-3/4 in. D x 9-3/8 in. H per Summerset's TRL Pro manual, plus 1/4 in. as Summerset recommends.
Natural gas or propane?
Choose either above. Opposite-fuel orifices come with the grill for a later conversion by a qualified technician.
Does it need power?
Yes, for the lights and LED knobs, through the included transformer. The burners can also be lit with a long match through the manual flash tube.

Warranty
AMD Direct (Summerset) Gold Standard Lifetime Warranty, per the owner's manual: lifetime coverage on construction and manufacturer defects, stainless steel construction, cooking grates, burners, burner covers, valves, flame tamers, heat zone separators, temperature gauges and hood springs, and 3 years on all other parts, components and electrical, including LED bulbs, wire harness, switches and the transformer. Registration is required online within 30 days of purchase; coverage is for the original purchaser at the original site, replacement parts only with no labor, and excludes discoloration, surface rust and corrosion.
Summerset lists the TRL among the grills whose warranty still applies in commercial and hospitality applications, provided regular maintenance is documented.
