The Superior DRL3545 is a 45 in. linear direct vent gas fireplace from the DRL3500 series, which adds interior lights and a blower to the DRL2000 base model. It has a 40 in. x 16-3/4 in. glass view over platinum glass media, electronic ignition with AA battery backup and a remote control, rated 23,000 BTU/h on natural gas. An optional HeatFlo kit routes heat above the opening so a TV or art can go closer to the fire.

Installation Notes
A qualified gas installer must vent the DRL3545 with Superior Secure Vent components inside the manual limits and connect 120 V power (the AA batteries are only a backup). In New York City, gas work requires a licensed master plumber and permits; direct vent units are a common NYC-compliant choice. What is the difference between DRL2045 and DRL3545?
The DRL3500 series adds interior lights and a blower; the 45 in. DRL3545 is also rated higher, at 23,000 BTU/h on natural gas.
Does it work in a power outage?
The ignition and burner run on 4 AA backup batteries during an outage; the blower does not.
Can I put a TV above it?
Superior offers the HeatFlo kit to redirect heat above the opening; framing for the kit is in the spec sheet.
What vent pipe does it use?
Superior Secure Vent SV4.5 concentric direct vent pipe.
