The Superior WRT3920 is an EPA certified, variable-rate wood-burning fireplace with a 2.0 cubic foot insulated firebox that takes logs up to 18 inches. It is for homeowners outside New York City who want a radiant wood fire with a 175 CFM blower and a heat output Superior rates at 55,000 BTU for up to 1,500 square feet. The required insulated outside air kit is included.

Installation Notes
The WRT3920 must be installed per the Superior manual, with the outside air kit, a 6 in. chimney and the stated hearth and mantel clearances, by a qualified installer. Superior describes it as a supplemental heater. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces (Local Law 38 of 2015, effective May 6, 2016). No. New wood-burning fireplaces are not permitted in the five boroughs. It can be installed where local code allows.
Is the outside air kit included?
Yes. Superior includes an insulated outside air kit and says it is required for use.
How big a space will it heat?
Superior rates it for up to 1,500 sq ft and notes that square-foot capacities are approximations only.
What chimney does it need?
A 6 in. IHP Snap-Pak chimney, or a masonry chimney with a 2100 F stainless liner, at least 12 ft tall.
