Description
Framing Dimensions: 51-5/8 in. W x 30-1/8 in. D x 67-1/8 in. H, per Superior spec sheet 900736-00
The Superior WRT4542 is a 42 inch indoor wood-burning fireplace in the WRT4500 series, supplied with a white stacked or white herringbone refractory set, a log grate and mesh screens. Unlike the box-only WRT6000, it is ready to finish once the chimney is in, which keeps the project simpler.
It is a UL 127 listed, factory-built fireplace for homeowners outside New York City who want a larger real wood fire with a Superior 12DM or 12HT chimney.

Installation Notes
A qualified hearth installer should frame, set and run the chimney per Superior manual 126601-01, keeping 6 ft or less between elbows and no more than 20 ft of chimney supported by the fireplace alone. With a vented gas log, the damper must be removed or locked open. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces (Local Law 38 of 2015); we sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows it.
