The Trade-Wind T7248-12 is a 48 inch T-shaped outdoor BBQ wall hood from the T7200 series with a 1200 CFM internal blower, pre-wired and ready to install. The hood flares to 32 in. deep at the bottom for full front-to-back grill coverage and narrows to 15 in. at the top, a cleaner profile under a covered patio than a tall box hood.

Three recessed LED lights with hidden controls and stainless baffle filters make it an easy daily-use hood for a 36 to 42 inch grill.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

Install under a roof, run 10 in. rigid metal duct as short and straight as possible to the outdoors, and wire to a dedicated 120 V circuit per the Trade-Wind instructions. Trade-Wind's outdoor guidance calls for weatherproof roof coverage around the hood and no back-draft damper in a BBQ application. In New York City, exhaust ducting through roofs or walls often needs building approval, so confirm the duct route early. Is the blower included?

Yes. The -12 model has a 1200 CFM internal blower. The T7248 without the suffix needs a separate in-line blower.

Are the lights LED or halogen?

Trade-Wind lists three recessed LED lights on the current T7200 series.

Is a duct cover included?

Yes, for 8 to 10 ft ceilings. A 10 to 12 ft cover is available as an option.

Can it vent out the back?

No. Trade-Wind lists the T7200 as top discharge only.
