The Trade-Wind DPR010 is a spring-loaded, butterfly-type back-draft damper for 10 in. round duct in galvanized steel, per the current listing. Trade-Wind's BBQ hood instructions (S7200CD series, 2023) say do not use any type of damper in a BBQ hood application, because it adds static pressure, rattling and poor ventilation.

Installation Notes

Trade-Wind in-line blower specs list dampers among the parts of an in-line system. For outdoor BBQ hoods, leave dampers out and remove any built-in damper from the roof or wall cap, as the hood instructions require.
