The TrueFlame TF-VH-36-SP8 is an 8 in. 304 stainless steel spacer bracket for the TrueFlame 36 in. outdoor vent hood. It mounts between the wall and the hood to move the hood 8 in. further from the wall, which centers it over grills and side burners on deep countertops (TrueFlame recommends spacers for countertops over 25 in. deep) and adds space between hot exhaust and the wall surface.

Installation Notes

Install the hood and its accessories exactly as the TrueFlame vent hood manual describes, with the hood at the recommended height above the cooking surface and sized wider than the appliances below it. Hood mounting must go into solid structure, not just siding or stucco. In New York City, gas work in an outdoor kitchen must be done by a licensed plumber and may need DOB filings.

Do I need a spacer?

If the countertop under the hood is deeper than about 25 in., a spacer helps center the hood over the cooking surface. TrueFlame offers 1/2, 4 and 8 in. options.

Can I use it on a different hood?

No. It is sized for the TrueFlame 36 in. hood mounting pattern.

Does the spacer change the ducting?

The hood sits further from the wall, so plan the duct path and any duct covers with the new position.

TrueFlame products are warranted by AMD Direct. The published schedule gives TrueFlame vent hoods a 5-year warranty on all stainless steel construction and 3 years on blowers, LED lighting, wiring and switches; it does not list hood mounting accessories separately, so confirm coverage for this part when you register. Coverage is for the original purchaser, replacement parts only (no labor), with online registration within 30 days.
