Twin Eagles calls for a 10 x 28-1/2 in. cutout with metal stud supports, the drawer casing screwed in through its pre-punched holes, weatherproof sealant around the edges, and a properly grounded, weatherproof outlet on a GFI protected circuit. Keep the island free of cracks that let water reach the controls, keep the drawer away from sprinklers, and cover the island in harsh weather. In New York City, adding an outdoor outlet or circuit on a terrace or rooftop is work for a licensed electrician and often needs building or board approval.
