The XO Performance XLT2 40 in. built-in grill (XOGRILL40XLT2L) is a four-burner, welded stainless steel grill head for an outdoor kitchen island. Four heavy-duty tubular stainless burners deliver up to 17,000 BTU each, 68,000 BTU in all, over 872 sq in. of cooking area (662 primary, 210 on the tilt-up top rack).
A 10,000 BTU ceramic infrared rear burner is ready for XO's optional rotisserie kit, Flame Thrower ignition lights without electricity, and halogen interior lights plus knob LEDs that glow blue when off and red when on make night grilling easy. This listing is the propane model.

Installation Notes
XO built-in grills slide into a non-combustible masonry island and rest on their side and rear flanges; do not grout them in, so the grill can come out for service. Keep 14 in. of non-combustible material around the grill and 5 in. clear behind it; any combustible construction requires XO's insulated jacket plus 14 in. side and 16 in. rear clearance. XO says never to use the grill in enclosed spaces, under unprotected overhead construction, or on elevated patios or decks. In New York City, gas grills on terraces and rooftops are regulated by the FDNY and the Department of Buildings, gas piping must be run by a licensed master plumber, and propane cylinder use is heavily restricted, so we review the space before quoting. Is the rotisserie included?
No, it is an option on this page. The 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner is built in and XO's kit adds the motor, spit, forks and counterweight.
What cutout does it need?
38-3/8 in. W x 8-1/2 in. H x 21-1/4 in. D in a non-combustible island, or 40-3/4 x 9-1/2 x 21-7/8 in. with XO's insulated jacket.
Can it go on a rooftop or terrace?
XO's manual says never to use the grill on elevated patios or decks, and New York City adds its own gas and propane rules, so we review the site first.
Does it need electricity?
Only for the lights. Ignition works without power, but the halogen and LED lighting need an outdoor 120V GFI outlet.

Warranty
XO limited warranty for residential use, per the Performance XLT2 owner's guide: lifetime parts coverage on the stainless steel main burners and fabricated stainless steel housing; 5 years on briquette trays, stainless steel grates, drip pans and gas valves; 2 years on all other grill components; and 1 year on parts plus authorized service labor. Lifetime, 5 year and 2 year coverage is parts only, with the owner paying installation, labor and shipping. Common area use, such as multi-dwelling condos and apartments, carries a 180 day warranty. Coverage is for the original purchaser in the continental United States and Canada, requires online registration within 90 days, and excludes discoloration and minor surface rust.
