These are the commercial-voltage versions of the Bromic Tungsten Smart-Heat Electric infrared heater: the same tube elements and weather-rated housing as the 240 V line, wired for 208 V or 277 V service in commercial buildings, restaurants and multi-unit residential properties. Pick 3000W, 4000W or 6000W, the voltage your building runs, and black or white.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Mounting brackets (6.5 in for single element, 9.5 in for dual element models)
  • You will need: a dedicated 208 V or 277 V circuit sized to the amperage above, an IPX4-rated cord grip and conduit, and a licensed electrician

Optional Accessories

Installation Notes

Hardwire the heater to a dedicated circuit with an all-pole disconnect, keep the face angled down and the heater under cover where possible, and do not mount it vertically, which Bromic says voids the warranty. Keep combustibles 3 ft from the front and away from the sides and rear.

In New York City, a new heater circuit on a terrace, balcony or roof requires a licensed electrician and an electrical permit, and co-op or condo boards often require approval, so plan the wiring before you order.

Which voltage do I need?

Match the building: 208 V is common in commercial and multifamily buildings, 277 V on lighting circuits in larger buildings. A licensed electrician should confirm before you order.

How much area does each size heat?

Up to 100 sq ft (3000W), 120 sq ft (4000W) or 144 sq ft (6000W), per Bromic.

Can it be recessed into the ceiling?

Yes, with the Bromic Tungsten ceiling recess kit for the heater size.

Warranty

Bromic warrants the heater to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, and its Tungsten Electric element warranty terms cover the heating element for its intended lifetime as defined in that document.
