The Fire Magic Aurora A540i is a 30-inch built-in gas grill with three cast stainless E-burners, Diamond Sear grids, and a 90-degree double-wall hood, built around a compact 18-inch-deep firebox. It suits a smaller island or a city backyard where a shallow 19-1/2 inch cutout matters, and you can configure it here with an infrared sear burner, a rear rotisserie backburner, both, or neither. It shares many features with the flagship Fire Magic Echelon series.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

Installation Notes

Outdoor use only. The grill drops into a 32" W x 19-1/2" D x 11-1/2" H cutout. A combustible island requires the Fire Magic Insulating Liner 23150-52; masonry or other non-combustible islands do not. Keep 18 inches of clearance to combustible side and rear walls, and 5 feet from the countertop to any overhead structure; under a combustible roof, Fire Magic requires a UL 710 or ULC S646 listed vent hood. Run a 1/2 inch minimum ID gas line with a shutoff valve (not included) within 6 feet of the grill, and provide a 15 amp GFCI outdoor receptacle for the ignition and lights. In New York City the gas connection must be made by a licensed master plumber under permit. Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an insulating liner for the A540i?

Only in a combustible island. Masonry and other non-combustible islands take the grill directly in the 32" W x 19-1/2" D x 11-1/2" H cutout; wood-framed or other combustible islands need liner 23150-52.

How does the A540i compare to the A660i?

The A660i has a 22 inch deep cooking area (660 sq. in.) and 75,000 BTU, needs a 23-1/2 inch deep cutout, and offers the Magic View window. The A540i has an 18 inch deep area (540 sq. in.), 63,000 BTU, and a shallower 19-1/2 inch cutout. Both are 30 inches wide on the grates.

Which option should I choose?

Choose "Backburner + Rotisserie Kit" (A540i-8EA) if you want rotisserie chicken and roasts, "Infrared Burner on Left Side" (A540i-7LA) for steakhouse searing, or "Add Both" (A540i-8LA). The base A540i-7EA has three E-burners only.

Fire Magic warranty: lifetime on cast stainless steel burners, Diamond Sear cooking grids, and stainless steel housing; 15 years on brass valves, inner liners, manifold assemblies, and backburner assemblies (ignition excluded); 5 years on flavor grids and infrared burners; 3 years on all other grill components (ignition and electrical excluded); 1 year on ignition systems, electronics including lights and thermometer, and accessories. Fire Magic includes a two-year labor allowance and pays shipping on warranted replacement parts.
