Description

The Majestic LINK-DV4-30B is a direct vent flex liner kit for running a Majestic gas insert up an existing masonry chimney. Per the Ruby installation manual it includes two 3 in. flexible liners that expand to 30 ft and 4 ft, a termination cap and flashing; this version has the standard termination cap. The 30 ft liner carries exhaust and the 4 ft liner draws combustion air from the chimney cavity.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Required: a Majestic Ruby, Trilliant or Jasper gas insert
  • May be needed: LINK-ZC-ADPB zero clearance chimney adapter for factory-built wood fireplaces with Class A pipe; FLEX-CNCT connector or FLEX3-30 extra liner for long runs

Installation Notes

A qualified installer should fit the kit per the insert manual: lock the solid fuel fireplace damper fully open or remove it, untwist the pipe while extending it to reach full length, and keep the vent run within the manual limits. No horizontal termination is allowed. In New York City, gas fireplaces and inserts are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed master plumber, with DOB filing where required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Two 30 ft liners or 30 ft plus 4 ft?

Majestic notes the two full-length liner kits (LINK-DV30B, LINKSQ-DV30) may perform better and let in less cold air in negative pressure homes; the 4 ft intake kits are shorter but more sensitive to negative pressure.

Can I terminate it through a wall?

No. The Ruby manual states no horizontal termination is allowed.
