The Moderno 2 Pizze is Alfa's compact gas pizza oven, shown here in Anthracite Grey as a countertop unit for an outdoor kitchen counter, table or masonry base. It bakes two pizzas at a time on a 60 x 50 cm refractory floor and reaches 500 C (932 F) in about 30 minutes, with a pizza ready in about 90 seconds once the oven is at temperature. It suits a cook who wants Neapolitan-style results from gas with simple controls, and the optional Hybrid Kit adds wood firing.

Installation Notes
This is an outdoor oven only. Alfa's manual calls for at least 8 in (20 cm) from walls and other equipment, 20 in (50 cm) around the flue and about 3 ft (1 m) clear above the oven, on a flat, stable, non-combustible surface away from strong wind. Leave at least 4 in (10 cm) behind the oven for the gas connection. A natural gas hookup should be made by a licensed installer, and in New York City gas piping work requires a licensed master plumber. If you are building it into an outdoor kitchen, book a free design consultation and we will plan the counter, utilities and installation with you.
