The American Made Grills Estate Freedom 42-Inch Built-In Natural Gas Grill (EST42-FR-NG) is the base-model Estate: the same 304 stainless body, 18-gauge double-lined spring-assisted hood, three 26,000 BTU stainless U-tube burners, and 12,000 BTU infrared back burner, sold without the rotisserie kit, griddle, sear burner, and smoker tray bundled with the standard Estate 42. It suits a homeowner building a 42-inch outdoor kitchen who wants an American-built grill head with 1,083 square inches of cooking space and prefers to choose accessories one at a time. Every Estate Freedom is built, factory tested, and serviced at the American Made Grills factory on Long Island, New York.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: Estate Freedom 42-inch natural gas grill head, 3 cooking grates, 3 burner covers, warming rack, drip tray, 2 heat zone separators, vinyl grill head cover, cleaning care kit, lighting transformer, and owner's manual.
- Not included: rotisserie kit, griddle, sear burner, smoker tray, and the Estate 42 Deluxe Built-In Grill Cover (GRILLCOV-EST42D); select "With Deluxe Grill Cover" above to add it.
- Required: a dedicated natural gas line sized for the full 90,000 BTU load, with shutoff valve, run by a licensed plumber; a non-combustible island, or the Estate 42 Insulated Grill Liner (GL-EST42) for wood-framed or other combustible islands; a 120V outdoor outlet for the lighting transformer.
- Optional: Estate 42 Rotisserie Kit (ROTKIT-EST42), Drop-In Infrared Sear Burner (IRB-EST), Estate Double Side Burner (ESTSB2), Estate Power Burner (ESTPB2), and replaceable faceplates in Liberty Gold, Ironclad, Pin Stripes, or Freedom Blue.

Installation Notes
Outdoor use only. The grill ships configured for natural gas; a conversion kit is included, but gas conversion should be done by a licensed installer. The island must be non-combustible unless the GL-EST42 liner is used. Keep 18 inches of side and rear clearance to combustible walls, 4 inches to a non-combustible backsplash, and 5 feet from countertop to overhead construction; a vent hood of at least 1,200 CFM is required under combustible overhead construction. Gas piping must meet the National Fuel Gas Code (ANSI Z223.1 / NFPA 54) and local code, and in New York City the gas connection must be made by a licensed master plumber under permit. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Estate Freedom 42 and the standard Estate 42?
Same body, back burner, and warranty. The standard Estate 42 ships with red brass burners, rotisserie kit, griddle, sear burner, and smoker tray in the box; the Freedom ships with stainless U-tube burners, cover, and care kit, and you add the rest as needed.
Does the Estate Freedom 42 include a rotisserie?
No. The 12,000 BTU infrared back burner is built in, but the spit, forks, and motor are sold separately as the ROTKIT-EST42 kit.
Do I need the insulated grill liner?
Only for a combustible island such as wood framing. Masonry or steel-framed islands take the grill directly in the 40-7/8" x 21-5/8" x 10-1/4" cutout.
