The Amantii Tru-View XL 50 (50-TRU-VIEW-XL) is a three-sided built-in electric fireplace with a deep firebox, so log media sits with real dimension behind glass on the front and both ends. It runs on 120V out of the box, and the 50, 60 and 72 sizes can be hardwired at 240V by an electrician for more heat. Amantii rates it for indoor rooms, bathrooms with GFCI protection and covered outdoor areas, which suits a peninsula, a corner or a room divider wall.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: firebox with front and end glass and remote. Amantii's manual says the fireplace comes with no media; the current listing includes decorative glass media, so we confirm media on your order
  • Required: a framed 53-3/4 x 27-1/8 x 14-3/4 in opening and a grounded 120V outlet on a 15 A circuit, ideally dedicated
  • For 240V heat: a 240V, 20 A hardwired circuit run by a licensed electrician (the power cord is removed)
  • Optional: Amantii log or glass media, such as the Driftwood 15-piece deluxe kit shown in the photos

Installation Notes

This is an electric appliance with no gas line, vent or chimney, which makes it a practical choice for New York City apartments and condos where a gas see-through fireplace is not an option. In a bathroom it must be on a GFCI receptacle or circuit and kept away from showers and tubs. Outdoors, a rain overhang of at least half the roofline height is required to the front and each side. Do I need 240V?

No. It runs on a standard 120V circuit. The 240V hardwire is optional for more heat.

What size opening do I frame?

53-3/4 in wide, 14-3/4 in deep and 27-1/8 in high per the manual table; we confirm the height against the unit before framing.

Can I view it from only one or two sides?

Yes. The end bars and panels stay on for a front view, or come off on one or both ends.

Does it include logs?

The manual says it ships with no media, so plan on an Amantii log or glass kit if you want logs.
