Round AB Series bioethanol burners. AB3 and AB8 have different heights, top trays, heat outputs, room-volume requirements and installation clearances. Choose the matching stainless steel or black finish on the destination page; compare the model specifications.

The EcoSmart Fire AB8 is a round, 8 liter bioethanol burner for custom indoor and outdoor fire features, producing a larger, longer-lasting orange flame than smaller burners with up to about 11 hours from a fill. It needs no flue, gas line or electrical connection, and it ships with the full set of accessories needed to operate it safely.

Installation Notes

EcoSmart Fire burners go into non-combustible settings only. In a custom firebox, the box must be non-combustible, accommodate the top tray, sit on 20 mm (0.8 in) spacers with an air gap, and include a 7 to 9 in static windscreen across its width; EcoSmart recommends its own fireboxes. Without a firebox, keep the overhead and side clearances in the table above, and keep a combustible rear wall at least 23.6 in away.

In New York City, ethanol fire features are popular because they need no gas line or chimney, but co-op and condo boards and FDNY rules for balconies and terraces still apply, so confirm what your building allows before you buy. Designing a custom ethanol fire feature? Book a design consultation.

Warranty

EcoSmart Fire warrants stainless steel parts (raw, linished and powder coated) for two (2) years from the date of purchase, and mild steel, cement, glass and other materials for one (1) year. Chips and scratches are not covered, and natural variation in concrete composite finishes is not a defect.
